For Mom & Dad...Watching over Them-Kelly Brooks

This is an amazing song. I could listen to the meaningful words all day long. The video itself is amazing...sweet. A lot of things go through my mind as I hear this song. A lot of times I feel like I lose faith in a lot of things but then I always remind myself that our dear God is great. He never gives us more than what we can handle. So, in my situation here on earth he must think I'm one strong individual. From my middle & high school years I have made a number mistakes with the decisions that I had made. Today I live my life one day at a time & when ever I am stuck in a difficult situation I remember all the mistakes I've made. I take that lesson I learned from it so I don't make the same mistakes again.  Sometime we repeat our mistakes and I guess it's okay. But sooner or later we realize that mistake & we want to make the change in our lives to better ourselves. My parents have always taught me good from wrong. They have been by my side & I want to thank them for helping raise my oldest son, Kaen Joseph Pangelinan, since the time he was born. Even if mom was afraid, she stayed by my side like any other mother would do. Mom, I know we got off at the wrong start & we didn't really have that bond like a mother & daughter should have. I was always complaining about the things you didn't do when I should have been thankful for everything you did. So, today I want to say I am sorry...I should have listened and took the advice you gave. Maybe things wouldn't be so hard. But I know that because I have you and daddy's support I will be able to get through any obstacle that I may come across. I love you mom & dad forever & a day!

Love always your daughter,

Sweet Treats Up & Coming

Hey everyone, so the next few blogs after this will show so of the desserts that I have made by myself or with my sister in law, Geri Eclavea-Charfauros. Since we were in middle & high school we would always bake simple things & now we've stepped everything up a bit with new recipes & designs. Hope everyone enjoys the upcoming pictures & blogs. Geri & I have learned that not only does it take time but a lot of patience in order to be successful in what we have learned to make. Some of these desserts are very easy & some take a process, but of course in the end we are always happy with the turn out.

The first one I want to share is our 1st 3D cake. It was a mickey mouse theme & it was extra special because it was my son, Zayven's 1st Birthday. We decided on a chocolate cake & of course it was covered in regular fondant that was purchased by Wilton. It was our first so we hadn't really tried any fondant recipes so decided on the store bought one. Here is a picture of how it turned out:

I want to thank you Geri for helping me with Zayven's 1st birthday Cake. I thought it was awesome considering we made it ourselves. I want you to know you have also inspired me to keep going with my baking...thank you again!

We also had some Mickey Mouse inspired cupcakes. We baked chocolate cupcakes, frosted them with regular store bought chocolate icing & added 2 mini oreos for Mickey's ears. Here are some pictures I'd like to share:

Hope you all enjoyed this blog. Be sure to check my later for some other treats that whipped up.

Happy Birthday TaTa!

These were my first set of cookies I made for a birthday. It was my grandfathers birthday & I wanted something for the kids to enjoy & on top of that I didn't have a lot of time. So these cookies were easy & fast. They are regular sugar cookie dough with egg yolk painted on them (of course they were tinted) then lastly they were baked. No waiting for the cookies to cool to start the decorating process.

Easter Sugar Cookies

So, now that I am getting the hang of the whole sugar cookie decorating process, I finally became comfortable with working with more colors...Here are some cookies I made last week for my son to pass out to his classmates & my grandmother to pass out to friends on her bowling night.

Easter bunnies & Eggs...

& MORE!

Although these take so long just to frost, I really enjoy making them. This is one way that I found for me to relax & relieve some stress. Happy Easter Everyone!

HUGE-mungous Marshmallow treats

huge Marshmallows dipped in white chocolate (colored pink) with spring colored SPRINKLES

huge MARSHMALLOWS dipped in white chocolate (colored green) with fish sprinkles

huge Marshmallows dipped in white chocolate & sprinkles

These delicious treats are very easy & fun to make. The kids really enjoy these especially since they are huge, dipped in chocolate & have sprinkles. These treats can be made using dipping chocolate or Wilton Melting chips, which come in all colors. I use regular white chocolate chips and tint them with some food color gels.

"nothing is greater than mommy's LOVE"

These three lil men are everything to me. I have been blessed with three amazing boys who have helped me learn new things in a matter of 8 years. Everyday that I live, I live for them. I would do everything & anything for them. Having three boys gets crazy most of the time, but I still consider myself lucky to be "their" mommy!
